Acknowledging Great Turtle Island

For the turtle is the hardiest of animals, whose heart continues to beat after removal, after cessation of her body.

We call this land, Great Turtle Island, for we shall never be moved and our consciousness is one with the land.

Great Turtle Island has her own ways, her own language, her own being. And she is the hardiest of the landmasses. You cannot remove her from this land you call the United States, from this land you call Canada, this land you call the Americas.

All will revert to her. To survive, you shall adopt her consciousness.
